Every metric behind the dashboards suddenly had a new source system underneath it. Getting that wrong quietly would be worse than a broken dashboard: numbers that look right but aren’t.
The solution: an extraction pipeline and a data model that maps
To keep reporting consistent, the data had to move from the new platform’s data model into In The Pocket’s existing reporting model, without losing meaning along the way.

The pipeline pulls data directly from the new platform’s API. The transformation layer maps it onto the shape the existing reporting expects, so dashboards keep working without a rebuild.
Proving it before it mattered
A migration like this only earns trust if you can check the new numbers against the old ones before switching over for good.
