Your Privacy Matters

I take privacy seriously. This page explains exactly how xudo.be handles your data—no legal jargon, just straight facts.

Analytics: Matomo (Cookieless)

I use Matomo for website analytics. Here’s what makes it different:

• Self-hosted: The analytics server runs on my own infrastructure at matomo.xudo.be. Your data never touches Google, Facebook, or any third party.
• No cookies: Matomo is configured to run without cookies. No tracking cookies are stored on your device.
• No fingerprinting: I don’t use browser fingerprinting or any persistent identifiers.
• Anonymized: IP addresses are anonymized before any data is stored.

What I track: Page views, referral sources, and general usage patterns. This helps me understand which content is useful and how visitors find the site.

What I don’t track: Personal information, browsing history across sites, or anything that could identify you personally.

Lead Tracking: Mautic (Deferred)

For contact forms and lead generation, I use Mautic—also self-hosted at mautic.xudo.be.

Privacy-first approach:

1. Homepage visitors: No Mautic tracking. No cookies. Zero.
2. After you navigate: If you click to another page, Mautic activates. This is when cookies may be set.
3. Why this approach: I only track visitors who show intent by engaging with the site. First-time visitors browsing the homepage remain completely anonymous.

What Mautic tracks: Form submissions, page visits (after engagement), and email interactions if you subscribe to updates.

No Cookie Banner?

Correct. Because:

• Matomo runs without cookies
• Mautic only activates after you actively navigate the site
• All data stays on my self-hosted servers

This approach respects your privacy while still allowing me to understand how the site performs and follow up on genuine inquiries.

Your Rights

Under GDPR, you have the right to:

• Access: Request what data I have about you
• Deletion: Ask me to delete your data
• Correction: Update any incorrect information
• Portability: Receive your data in a standard format

Note: I only store personal data from visitors who have filled out a contact form or subscribed to updates. If you haven’t submitted a form, I have no data about you.

Contact Forms

When you submit a contact form, I collect:

• Your name
• Your email address
• Your phone number (if provided)
• Your company (if provided)
• Your message (if provided)

This data is stored in Mautic (self-hosted) and used solely to respond to your inquiry. I don’t sell, share, or use this data for any other purpose.

Third-Party Services

The only external services used on this site:

No advertising networks. No social media trackers. No third-party analytics.
